Hello, modelers! today I will show you how to build the (very small) Revell RMS Titanic model! I hope this tutorial seems simple enough for you, and if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, just type them in the comments section below! Well, let's get started!
If you go to this link (which I highly recommended) you can buy this model for a reasonably cheap price: http://www.amazon.com/Revell-1-1200-R-M-S-Titanic/dp/B0006HJEMC. The great deal is you actually save $1.44!
The tools you're gonna need for this model are: (not included with model)
*Revell modeling glue
*Revell red paint
*Tweezers (optional, for picking up small objects)
*Needle nose pliers (to cut out the model from the plastic holders thingy)
First, you need to take the hull out of the plastic thing, and then put the lower part upside down and on top of a napkin, or a cloth or something. Then, you put tape on the upper black part. (I recommend you use gloves). And then, start painting the lower hull red with your paintbrush. When that's done, take the upper hull part, put tape all around the lower part, and then you start painting the top part that's sticking out white. Wala!
So, for this part of the model, you take the superstructure part, and you paint the front of the large rectangular part white, and also the back part. after that, you glue all the 3 pieces together, you're gonna paint the funnels carefully, and then you attach the front and back railing, and also glue the boats on. then, attach all the parts together, and paint the compass tower white. Also add the cranes on the front and back.
So, now you take the parts of the stand and paint them gold, but the nameplate make it have a black primer and then add gold to the part that says "RMS TITANIC". After that, you glue everything together.
So, now what you do to finish every ting up, you just glue the superstructure deck's side to the main hull, attach the masts, put the model on the stand, and you're done! Again, if you have any questions, comments troubles, or suggestions, put them in the comments section below! Also, don't forget to leave a favorite!
