The inpatient medical unit at Bullock County Hospital treats patients that require either chronic or acute level care. This unit is staffed full-time with Licensed Nurses, Nursing aides, Nurse Practitioners and Doctors who are specially trained to care for hospitalized patients. Care is provided in collaboration with the patient’s physician and other members of the Bullock County Hospital healthcare team.
Patients are our primary focus and the way we deliver care reflects that focus every day. Our highly trained staff are ready to meet the needs of patients suffering from acute illness or infections, heart attacks, accidents, strokes, and many other medical needs. Patients may be admitted from the hospital Emergency Department, nursing homes or direct admission from offices of our medical staff. Our staff is dedicated to providing care both during the patient’s hospital stay and through discharge planning to make the transition to home easier for both patients and families. Our Discharge Planner is available to assist with discharge planning, insurance questions, advance directives, as well as assisting with the coordination of other services.
